Grouping and classifying materials - Man made, natural, similar shape, weight

Changing materials - Water cycle, dissolving, melting, boiling, condensing, freezing, evaporation

Separating mixtures of materials - Filtration, sieving, immiscible liquids, activated charcoal, evaporation, chromatography
